FREE Mother's Day & Teacher Appreciation Printables

Happy Monday everyone!!

It's hard to believe that Mother's Day is already this weekend! I used to be someone who had Mother's Day gifts for my mom planned out WELL in advance. And perhaps some of you are on the ball this year and already have your beautiful crafts and gifts completed and wrapped. For those of you that accomplished the task early this year...I applaud you.

But if somehow, in the hustle and bustle of every day life, you procrastinated on your Mother's Day gifts and are desperately searching the internet for some sweet, thoughtful, EASY gifts for your mom...you are in luck. I have some really great gift ideas that you can personalize with your own tag/topper.

AND...if you also failed to plan ahead for Teacher Appreciation Week this week...I've got you covered there too :-)

Because I am both a mom AND a teacher...I know how important it is to be recognized this week for all the hard work that mothers and teachers accomplish throughout the year. They are tough jobs! But just because I like to be thanked and recognized, doesn't mean I require lavish gifts (although I certainly wouldn't hand back a gift certificate for a massage or a trip to the salon for a mani/pedi) Ha!

But truthfully...simple and/or handmade gifts are often the most special to receive (and make!). So here is a list of wonderful things you can share with your mothers and teachers:

1. Potted or hanging plants.

The only thing better than getting a beautiful bunch of roses in a vase for Mother's Day or Teacher Appreciation Week is getting a potted or hanging plant that I can enjoy the entire season. You can also find big BEAUTIFUL plants for about half the price of a bunch of roses, so consider that before you call the florist. Then of course, you can attach one of these cute toppers to a bamboo skewer or lollipop stick and just stick it in the plant! I think our teachers will be receiving one with a "Thank You for Helping us Grow" tag :-)

2. A box of cupcakes or muffins.

Baking cupcakes and muffins is an EASY way to get your kids in on the fun. They can help you mix and pour and when they give them to you, or Nana, or their teacher...they can honestly say, "I HELPED!". To spice of the presentation, buy a cute little cupcake box (they have them at Michaels and other stores in the baking section). Then just tie on a tag and you are set! Or, display them on a plate and use the printables as cupcake toppers!

3. A bouquet of pencils...or handpicked flowers...or Sharpies (if that's your thing :-)

Making a simple bouquet out of anything from pencils to handpicked flowers from the yard is another easy, inexpensive way to say "Thank You" and "I Love you". Tie them off with a cute piece of ribbon and one of these tags and you are all set :-)

4. A mason jar full of their favorite candy or snack.

I am a HUGE fan of mason jars and even something as simple as a bag of M&Ms looks more special in a jar tied with a cute ribbon and a tag.

5. A gift card tied with ribbon and a tag.

Okay okay...giftcards are pretty awesome and no mother or teacher can resist them. It's the perfect gift to get (that's not homemade :-). But if you are going to give a gift card, give it a personal touch with a colored envelope and tie it with some bakers twine or ribbon. And of course, attach a cute tag :-)

You see...making Mother's Day and Teacher Appreciation Week special can be simple and easy. I promise you that even taking the time to simply say, "Thank You for all that you do" will make any mother or teacher smile :-)

But if you are rushing to the store today like I am, be sure to download a tag before you go. Here is a link to all 3 pictured above:

THANK YOU to all the amazing mother's and teachers out there!!
