2018 Goals & Resolutions Printable

Happy New Year, friends! We hope your Christmas was as magical as ours. It is almost time to say goodbye to 2017 and HELLO to 2018!!

This will be our 6th year in business and although we didn't accomplish all the goals we had in 2017 {hello, out-of-date-blog in need of a makeover} we did succeed in finding more Joy in our lives, and our little business. We ventured out of our comfort zone and began selling items in local markets, which has led us to some amazing new customers and dear friends. It was the change we needed...stepping away a bit online and interacting more with people face-to-face. But in that time, we also realized how wonderful our online relationships are too so we hope to be more present in both spaces this coming year :)

The end of the year is always a great time for reflection, and an even better time for goal setting and planning. To help you out, we've updated our Goals & Resolutions printable for the new year!

As in years past, our printable has a space for you to write a goal for each category of your life. You can make these goals/resolutions as simple or specific as you want. We also have a blank space that you can use for something more personal for you or your family. Perhaps you are saving for home improvement, or a vacation, or perhaps you have a personal goal of starting your own Etsy shop or meeting the love of your life :)

And, back by popular demand, we have also kept a space for the "Word of the Year," which is best described as a word that you want to focus on all 365 days. My Word of the Year for 2018 is:

FOCUS

We all live such a hurried life these days...constantly multi-tasking and shuffling from one activity to the next. I told my husband the other day that my brain is like a computer with 20 browser windows open at once. Multi-Tasking often makes me feel productive in the moment {Look at me! I am packing lunches, answering emails and wrapping a birthday gift!} But later I realize just how much I miss when I am multi-tasking. If I am answering messages in the shop while I am making dinner, I am missing the opportunity to really listen to my daughter's story about recess that day. Or if I am trying to pick up the family room while the kids and I are supposed to be watching a movie, I miss hearing their silly commentary and the couch cuddles that won't last forever. I also find that doing too many projects at once means that I won't do ANY of them well. So this year, I need less multi-tasking, and more FOCUS.

So what will your word of the year be?

The purpose of writing out goals & resolutions isn't to make your life more stressful, but rather to encourage you to do more of what makes you happy!! Have fun with this list and use it as a guide for the next year. We may have some repeats on our list (I'm looking at you Health & Fitness. Ha!) but what's important is that we try. It's never too late to set a new goal…or achieve an old one.

Happy New Year, friends!!! Thank you for being a part of our lives and our dream. See you in 2018!
